Hello! I’m Isaac Koch,
I grew up in West Kelowna, BC. I lived in the same house my entire life, apart from my grade 7 year spent in Thailand, until I moved to Victoria for school and soccer. I graduated from Mount Boucherie Secondary School (Go Bears!) in 2015 and applied to UVIC. I was accepted into general studies, where I spent my first year playing soccer for UVIC and attending classes I had no interest in. After some thought, prayer, and volunteer experiences I decided I wanted to teach. I graduated with a BA in History in 2020 and was accepted into the Elementary PDPP a year later.
When I’m not in school, I’m usually on the soccer field. “I can’t, I have soccer tomorrow” is a phrase I’ve thrown around far too many times. I just finished my 5 years of eligibility with the UVIC Vikes, who I was honoured to captain for the last two seasons. Soccer has and always will be a big part of my life. Eventually, I would like to run a soccer academy in the school that I teach at.
My wife and I just celebrated 6 months of marriage (woohoo!) and we both like to stay active. I have three sisters, one niece, and three nephews. My family is a very important part of my life.
When I’m not doing something active I’m either reading, playing video games, or napping. I love to cook and everything I make gets a kick of cajun seasoning.
